I know there is a section where they offer you a selection of free songs to add to your video, however I would like to change the musimusic on youtubec to other music I already own. But....without deleting my video and re-uploading?

You can't change it to a song you already music on youtubeown with out deleting it and re-uploading it. The video editor youtube offers only allows you to pick from songs in their database
