Limewire has been shut down so is there anything similar i can use ?
Frostwire all the way
with today's technology, you would probably know that you can record anything you hear from youtube myspace or any other legal site like in the old days when the radio was your source of music and media! you can do it the old fashioned way by hooking a tape recorder to your computer sound card or find a digital way to record the way i do. i would tell you what progrlimewire shut downam i use to record but i can't tell the world. but with that in mind, i'm sure you will find your way around and others will follow!
if that's too high tech, you may want to consider frostwire imesh bearshare but remember it's very illegal and easy to get caught and likely to be terminated in the future as well. believe me limewire was the best so it will rest in peace!
Frostwire is almost identical.

Good thing Limewire is shut down because youlimewire shut down should stop downloading copyrighted music for free illegally! It's not fair to the musicians that made the music.
There are legal music downloading sites even though you have to pay for most of the music:
iTunes
eMusic
Zune Marketplace
Amazon.com
Walmart.com
etc.
Illegal downloads are unsafe by definition. Legal downloads are perfectly safe, but that means paying for music and movies instead of stealing them.
